Wilma Jean Gibler passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Redstone Highlands Greensburg on Sunday February 18, 2024. She was born February 14, 1939, in Defiance Ohio, daughter of the late Irvin & Maud Hunt. Wilma is preceded in death by her late husband Larry and son Jeff. She is survived by a brother Herman Hunt of Colorado and brother & sister in law John & Kathy Gibler of Ohio. Also surviving are children Allen (Irene) Gibler of Florida, Mike (Sherri) Gibler of Indiana PA, and Pam (Bud) Sterner of Ruffs dale. Grandchildren Donald, Kati (Derek), Josh, Jojo, Danny, Taylor, Shelby, and Jeffrey. Also a special great grandson Jayce Allen Walter. Her grandchildren loved their ‘Bumba Gibler’. Also surviving are nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Wilma retired from Altmeyer’s home store. She was a member of Seven Dolors Catholic Church. She was an avid cook and reader. She had a green thumb and enjoyed canning. Her family will dearly miss her. The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the staff at Redstone for their loving care, especially aide Ashley. Per Wilma’s wishes there will be a private memorial service at a later date in Ohio where her husband is laid to rest. All services entrusted to ASHLEY D. X. NYE CREMATION CARE & FUNERAL HOME INC.
