William “Gary” Fleming 67, of Greensburg, PA passed peacefully in his home surrounded with love from his wife Maureen (Sullenberger) Fleming. He was born in Pittsburgh,Pa on October 9, 1955 to the late William E. Fleming and L. Marjorie Fleming. Gary was a graduate of Hempfield High School class of 1973 where he was a talented pitcher for the baseball team. After high school he worked with his family at Deb Mar Petland in Greengate Mall. He then went on to open his own business, Fleming’s Pet Supply Warehouse in Greensburg. His business was his passion. Gary had a heart of gold and everyone who knew him saw that expressed with a deep love for his best friend and wife Maureen. Gary’s kindness and big heart will forever be remembered by all who knew and loved him. He was fearless during his decade long battle with kidney disease and forever taught us how to make each day count. His beautiful smile and bright light he carried with him will stay forever in the hearts of his surviving beloved wife of 35 years Maureen; his daughter Stephani Cooper and son in law Andrew of Spartanburg,SC; his sister Deborah Rubus of Greensburg along with her daughter Amanda Rubus and grandson Jacob Rubus; brother in laws Roger Sullenberger Jr.; Neil Sullenberger (Cristin); sister in law Lindsey Sullenberger; and mother in law Mary Ann Sullenberger. In addition to his parents, Gary joins in heaven his father in law Dr. Roger Sullenberger and brother in law Peter Rubus. Please join us to celebrate and honor Gary’s life with visitation on Tuesday April 4, 2023 from 2 p.m. until time of memorial service at 4 p.m. followed by a white dove release at ASHLEY D. X.
