Wendell Luther Terry Lovelace Jr. took his final breath on Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022. He is now at peace. Wendell was born and raised in Jeannette. He loved God, reading religious texts, music, his family and memories of his boxing days. He will be remembered for his humor, his laugh and his outgoing personality. During his life, he studied ministry, was the drum major for the Jeannette High School band and was unbeatable at chess, something that brought him great pride. One of his sayings was that "chess is a sport." He was preceded in death by his father, Luther Lovelace; mother, Geraldine Lovelace; his stepmother, Claudette Lovelace; son, Wendell Jules Lovelace Jr. (Jay); and his daughter, Tara Lovelace. He is survived by his sister, Sherri Lovelace-Cameron and family; his daughter, Wendie Newcamp and her family; and his sons, Martin Lovelace and Terry Lee Lovelace and their families. He also leaves behind nieces and nephews. All services entrusted to ASHLEY D.X. NYE CREMATION CARE & FUNERAL HOME INC. 408 Depot St. Youngwood.
