Wayne Leroy Shively

Wayne Leroy Shively, 86 of New Stanton passed June 9, 2026 at Independence Health Westmoreland after a brief illness.  He was born in New Stanton on February 7, 1940, to the late Glenn and Rosella (Henry) Shively.  Wayne was a man dedicated to his family and remained on his family’s Hempfield Township homestead for the majority of his life. He maintained beautiful vegetable gardens, was skilled at small engine repair, the family dog whisperer,  loved westerns and his John Deere.  Wayne drove tractor trailer up and down the East Coast, then local tri-axel most of his life, and worked his retirement years at Hepler’s Hardware.  He held a steady presence and led with patience and humility. He was happiest with his family and at home.  He built a foundation of deep love that will be the light to carry his surviving children; Debora Montell (David), Daniel Shively, Jeffrey Shively, and Jennifer Shively; cherished grandchildren; Amanda, Major, Jessica, Ashlie, Cody (Nicole), April, Cassandra, and Victoria; great-grandchildren Airionna, Millie, Clayton, Mayzie, and Tyson; brother Dale Shively, sisters Dorothy Marks and Carol Seaman; and his loyal canine companion who never left his side Buddy. Wayne was reunited in heaven with his beloved wife,  Donna Shively; his parents Glenn and Rosella; sister Betty Spor, and brother Larry Shively. Per Wayne’s wishes all services will be private and entrusted to ASHLEY D. X.
