Scott Allen Kapis

Scott Allen Kapis, 53 of Sewickley Township died peacefully the early morning of March 28, 2026 at the Westmoreland Manor with his devoted family at his side after a fierce battle with cancer.  Scott was born July 2, 1972 in Greensburg to Ronald Gene and the late Carolyn Ann (Evans) Kapis Sr. He was a graduate of Hempfield High School and always was well-liked, kind hearted and a loyal friend and brother.  He loved taking trips to Elk and Cameron Counties to hunt and fish, was a huge Pittsburgh Sports fan, as well as a Nascar follower, and enjoyed time spent with his friends at the Central Yukon Hotel.  Scott will be deeply missed by his father Ronald G. Kapis Sr.; siblings Ronald G. Kapis Jr., and sister Rhonda Kapis who cared for Scott; cherished nephew Nathan Wilkins; Aunt Shirley Breegle; cousins Bill & Wade Breegle; and many friends.  Scott was reunited in heaven with his beloved mother Carolyn Ann Kapis who passed in 2013.  Per Scott’s wishes there will be no public visitation and all services are private.  Please visit our tribute wall to leave a condolence or share a memory of Scott.
