Sara Catharine (Kuhns) Ruff, 62 of Mt. Pleasant was called home on August 9, 2025 in the comfort of her home, with her family surrounding her. She was born July 13, 1963, in Somerset, to the late Levi Gilbert Kuhns and Mildred Ercy Overly. Sara was a woman with a fierce faith Christ, led her life in his light, and was parishioner of Gospel Life Tabernacle in Mt. Pleasant. She was fully devoted to her family and her love knew no bounds as her support was always unwavering, Sara was always the first to stick up for you. She was a great secret keeper, advice giver, and was the person to tell you the way it was. Her positive spirit always carried her family though the best of times and also when life was not perfect. Sara will forever be remembered for her sense of humor, steadfast determination, and loyalty to her family. She is survived by her beloved grandson Jaiden Mimnaugh and great-grandson Ezra Lee Mimnaugh; sisters Hattie Graft (Keith Graft) and Patricia Bates (Eugene Thomas); mother-in-law Emmie Ruff; sister-in-law Tina Ruff; nieces and nephews; Larry Jr., Chris, Mike, Nathan, Joanie, Derek, Scottie, Jessee, Lisa, Sandra, Glenda, Brenda, Julie, Kit, Ronnette, Shannon, Ronald Jr., Donna Jean, Pete, Billijo, Wanda, Jimmy, Bobby, Donald Jr., Steven, David, Roxanne, Barb, Chuck, Frankie, Aaron Jr., Brent, and Brittany; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and doggies Dyna and June, and cat Burger all whom she dearly loved. In addition to her parents, Sara joined in heaven her husband Richard Ruff, and daughter Jamie Mimnaugh; along with siblings Amy Hollis, Lillie Stillwagon, Sandra Kuhns- Dunn, Donald Kuhns, and Catherine Cane; and nieces and nephews in heaven Tina, Crystal, Sam, Keith Jr., Sean, Abraham, Becky, Mary, and Leroy. The family would like to thank all of Sara’s caregivers who provided comfort during this delicate time. Please join us for a Graveside Service on August 16, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Greenlick Cemetery Bullskin Township with Reverend Cheryl Barron presiding followed by a white dove release.
