Sandra Dee (Labasky) Cancino, 58 of Yukon, went home to be with the Lord on May 28, 2023 in her home with her children at her side. She was born October 3, 1964 in Mt Pleasant to the late John Labasky and Ida Mae (DeMeri) Buchan. Sandra's vibrant personality made her an incredible mother and grandmother. Everyone who knew her called her "Nunny" or "Mom." Her compassionate and tender heart drove her to work as a care giver and phlebotomist within the medical field, which she absolutely loved. Nunny led her life with kindness, always helped others and truly embraced everyone she met on her earthly journey. Whether she was with her friends riding Harley’s, shooting pool, laughing, and dancing the night away or teaching her beloved grandchildren games, taking them out into nature, or watching movies with them, she made each moment count. Sandra’s greatest role was as a provider and nurturer who loved her family. Her free spirit, goofy sense of humor, and passion for life will forever be missed daily by all who knew and loved her. Sandra is survived by her children Nathan Labasky and Ashley Kunkle ( Richard Balko); her grandchildren Haley, Lily, Braxton, Tyler, Skyler, and Riley; brother John DeVitis, sister Ann Marie Vella (Sal); nephews Joey and Sonny Vella; and additional nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather Peter Buchan; and sister-in-law Nancy DeVitis. Please join us in celebrating Sandra’s life with a visitation on Saturday July 22, 2023 from 2 p.m. until time of service at 4 p.m. followed by a white dove release at ASHLEY D. X. NYE CREMATION CARE & FUNERAL HOME INC. 408 Depot St. Youngwood, PA 15697. Please bring your bike and wear your Harley gear.
