Samatha Ann Darnell, 40, of Jeannette gained her angel wings the morning of Saturday April 25, 2026 after a fierce battle from surgical complications. She was an identical twin girl born on January 5, 1986 to the late James E. and Linda (Puckett) Darnell in Morgantown, WV. Samatha was very social, and always an active individual. She was a member of the A&B Club of Youngwood, VFW of Youngwood, and Hunt Club in New Stanton. She loved to go fishing and bowling, riding on the Harley Motorcycle, took many trips to Ocean City, MD, and loved to listen to music and dance. Samatha held a close unbreakable bond with her mother, sisters, and daughters. Her daily presence will be so deeply missed. Samatha is survived by her daughters Tiffany Shoemaker and Amelia Swartz; granddaughter Scarlett Shoemaker; boyfriend Dick McCormick; mother Linda Darnell; twin sister Stephanie Darnell and brother-in-law Raymond Fulton Jr.; nephew Gene Overly III; and Aunt Sandy Miller of Morgantown. In addition to her father James E. Darnell that passed when Samatha was one; she was reunited with her sister Pamela Heckman in heaven.
