Sally Ann (Baker) Gootz

Sally Ann Gootz, devoted mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, was led into Heaven on Monday May 15, 2023, in the comfort of her home. She was born March 5, 1968, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Joseph William and Nancy Lee (Vokes) Baker. Sally grabbed life with gusto, was strong-will, determined, and could be described as feisty always keeping things rolling. She attended St. Vincent College studying early childhood education, worked for Sony Industries, and held a cosmetology license. She enjoyed cutting hair and would visit nursing homes keeping everyone looking beautiful, loved showering her loved ones with the warmth she radiated, and being a homemaker and spending time with her children, grandbabies, and family was where her heart was happiest and full. This was Sally’s greatest life role which she fully embraced every single day. Sally will be forever remembered for her loyal devotion to her family, her strong spirited personality combined with her warm heart, and teaching us how important it is to be present in each and every moment. Her daily presence will be missed most by her children Steven Gootz & Savanna Kopcho (Alexander), and their father Paul Gootz; her cherished granddaughters Audrina and Alexanna; siblings Joseph “Bubba” Baker (Sherry), and Nancy Jo Baker; nieces and nephews Austin, Joe-Joe, Susan, Julie, Amber, Shawnda, Jeremy, and Joey; all her kitty cats and kittens, and her dog Drako.  In addition to her parents, Sally was predeceased by her sister Ruth Leasure; and her nephew Big Joe, and niece Jessie.
