Roseann Cooper, 68 of Greensburg entered into the gates of heaven as she was peacefully called home on August 16, 2025 with her loved ones at her side. She was born in Greensburg to the late Henry Joseph and Rose Marie (Altman) Charnesky Sr. She was a graduate of Greensburg Salem High School class of 1975, and went on to be a nurse’s aid and then a unit clerk for most of her years working at Westmoreland Manor. She was a selfless woman and it not only led her to serve others in the medical field, she often supplied meals to her neighbors as well as grocery shopped and ran any errands they needed. She built a life centered around her friends who she treated as if they were family. Going to dinner and celebrating birthdays and life milestones, was something Roseann never missed. She loved taking long rides with Rick which there were many including Senecca Rocks, Black Water Falls, Cannan Valley, and also Potter County, and Roseann's favorite, Cook Forest. She also enjoyed watching Judge Judy, Nascar races, and was a loyal Steeler and Penn State fan, known for running a Steeler football pool for her work family yearly. Additionally Roseann was a member of East Huntingdon Township Foreman’s Club and S.N.P.J. Club Lodge 223. She will be so deeply missed by many, but her legacy of generosity, kindness, loyalty and care for her family and friends will always be the cornerstone of her life. Roseann is survived by her companion and partner of 40 years; Eric V. Plate “Rick”; brother Henry J. Charnesky Jr. (Lynn); niece Tara Cope (Scott Dills); nephew Steven Charnesky (Bree); great-niece Brynn Charnesky; great-nephew Brody Charnesky; and countless friends. Per Roseann’s wishes all services and burial are private and entrusted to ASHLEY D. X. NYE CREMATION CARE & FUNERAL HOME INC. 408 Depot St. Youngwood, PA 15697.
