Rodger Thomas Fry Sr., 72 of New Stanton died peacefully at his home the early morning of March 4, 2026 with his family at his side. He was born April 27, 1953 in Greensburg to the late Joseph Carl and Katherine (Thornburg) Fry. Rodger was a graduate of Hempfield High School class of 1971. He was an avid outdoorsman and worked clearing power lines for Asplundh and Davies Tree Service. Rodger enjoyed fishing and hunting and was known to take the Jeep off-roading with his children when they were younger, a core memory forever cherished. He enjoyed the quiet challenge of crosswords and Sudoku, always keeping his mind sharp. A fun-loving father and proud grandfather, Rodger was a loyal husband and devoted always putting his family first in his life. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 45 years Rhonda Lee (Kemp) Fry; children Mia Bold, Rodger T. Fry Jr. (Morgan), and Sarah Jennings; grandchildren Kodie, Derek, Logan, Destiny, Barrett, Sutton, Camden, Hayden, and Catalina; sister Barb Gettins and several siblings; and his dog Fleury. In addition to his parents Joseph and Katherine Fry, Rodger joined in heaven his treasured son Jason Fry who passed in 2008. Please join us Sunday March 8, 2026 for a viewing from 1- 3 & 5-7 p.m. and Monday March 9, 2026 from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11 a.m. at ASHLEY D. X.
