Robert Kosecki Jr. Obituary

In Loving Memory of Robert C Kosecki Jr.
Sunrise: 08/25/1976 – Sunset: 09/24/2025

It is with heavy hearts and enduring love that we announce the passing of Robert C. Kosecki Jr., who left this world peacefully after a courageous 24-year battle with a long-term illness stemming from a brain stem cyst. His strength, resilience, and unwavering spirit were a testament to the life he lived and the legacy he leaves behind. Born and raised in Barking & Upper Burrell, Robert was a man of grit, heart, and dry humor. He found joy in the simple things — the crackle of a campfire, the thrill of the hunt, the quiet patience of fishing, and the muddy freedom of four-wheeling through the woods. He had a treasure trove of tools and antiques, each piece with a story, each collection a reflection of his curiosity and craftsmanship. Above all, Robert lived for his family. He shared over half his life with his beloved wife, Kelly Kosecki (Coward),  whose love and devotion never wavered. Together, they built a life rooted in loyalty, laughter, and quiet strength. His greatest pride was his son, Isaac C Kosecki.  He fought every day with courage and determination. Their bond was unbreakable, and his love for them was the heartbeat of his life. He was a beloved son, brother, father, and friend — someone who could fix anything with his hands and brighten any morbid occasion. Whether sharing stories at the camp fire or Rob rigging a tool, machine, or automobile, Robert, lived with integrity and grit. Though his illness challenged him for over two decades, he never let it define him. He faced each day with quiet bravery, teaching us all about perseverance, dignity, and grace. He is survived by his wife of 30 years Kelly Kosecki, son Isaac C. Kosecki; sister Mindy Blainer (Josh) of Apollo; nieces Aubrie & Aliannas Blainer; cousin Kerry A. Smouse (CJ) of New Kensington; and preceded in death by his father Robert C. Kosecki, Sr., and his paternal grandparents Bruno C. & Carolyn K. Getz Kosecki, his maternal grandparents Charles & Doris Rumbaugh Carrigan. His memory will live on in every cast line, every trail ride, and every tool passed down with care. Per Rob’s request there will not be a funeral.  To honor Robert's memory and help the family during this difficult time, we welcome donations to cover cremation and related services.
