Robert Cerula Obituary

Robert John Cerula, born August 4, 1955 of Hazelton, PA passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 13, 2026. Robert was a traveler of sorts living in Levittown, Saint Marys, Warminster, Duncansville, Altoona, Irwin and lastly Greensburg. Robert graduated from Neshaminy HS in 1973 then married Susan Hess from 1974 to 1999. After high school, he spent many hard working hours at US Steel mill for nearly 20 years. After his years in the steel mill Robert began his 20+ year career as a truck driver. He loved being on the road and sight seeing along the way; making plans to return to many locations after retirement. When Robert was not on the road working you could find him enjoying his passion for finding a good deal and collectibles at flea markets. Those who knew him, knew he loved classic cars, old movies, a good hot dog, telling stories, and making those around him laugh. Robert loved his family with all of his heart.  He loved to spending time with and spoiling his grandchildren whenever and wherever he could. He is survived by his daughter Stacy McGonigal, and his son Timothy Cerula (Rebecca Pillage Cerula); his beloved grandchildren Ellie, Samantha McGonigal and Matthew, Jaxson Cerula. Robert is also survived by his brother Peter Cerula. Proceeded by his sister Helen Cerula Kaczmarczyk as well as parents Peter and Helen “Lee” Cerula. Per Robert’s request he will be cremated and plans for a wake with family are soon to be determined by his children.
