Regina M. Sears

Regina M. (Daugherty) Sears, 89, of Greensburg peacefully entered the gates of heaven on May 7, 2025 at Ridgeview Residential Care in Youngwood.  She was born and raised in Wilkes-Barre, and after high school she met her husband Robert E. Sears, a U. S. Marine.  Regina met Robert after he returned from the Korean War and shortly after they relocated and settled in Greensburg raising their five children.  She was a remarkable mother and showered her family with strength and grace.  Regina served as an Activities Director for Oak Hill Nursing Home for many years, eventually retiring from Bethlen Home in Ligonier as their Activities Director.  She will always be remembered for enjoying games and never missed an opportunity to get her lottery tickets.  Regina never missed a Steeler game and loved gardening and appreciated it when the lawn was mowed with perfect lines.  Regina’s spirited personality, and creativity and warmth deeply touched the hearts of everyone she encountered. She is survived by her children; Thomas Sears, Christopher Sears, Carol Ritter, and Scott Sears (Toni); daughter in law Eileen Sears; grandchildren Diane, Bobby, Christanie, Tiffany, Katie, and Scott; ten cherished great-grandchildren; and her dear friend Joann who she shared a room with at Ridgeview.  Regina was reunited into heaven with her husband Robert, beloved son Robert Sears, Mother & Father Anna, Thomas F. Dougherty, and her siblings Claire, Nancy, and Thomas.  The family would like to thank Ridgeview Residential Care and Excela Hospice for their exceptional care and comfort they provided during a delicate time.  All services and interment in Westmoreland Memorial Park will be private.  Arrangements entrusted to ASHLEY D.
