Rebecca Ivy Swimpson, 57 of Altoona went to sleep in the arms of The Lord on the afternoon of March 31, 2026 at Oak Hill Rehabilitation and Nursing Home. She was born in Philadelphia on May 31, 1968 to the late Charles Covington and Bernadette Hall. Rebecca grew up in North Philadelphia, attended Parkway High School and was always social, funny, and tender hearted. She was an incredible mother and grandmother as her children were the corner-stone of her life, instilling a foundation of deep love and an unbreakable bond between them all. Birthday parties, and memories of decorated holidays, especially her favorite Christmas, and celebrating all of life’s milestones and achievements we’re part of who Rebecca was. She always showed her unconditional caring heart with genuine ease. Rebecca was a sports fan and loved to read romance novels. Her daily presence will be missed most be her surviving beloved children; twins Meagan Christman (Jarel) & Michelle Hall (Becky Baldwin), and son Marquis Esterly-Hall; cherished grandsons Jarel Jr., Holden, and Adrian Christman; siblings Autumne Hall, Peter Hall, Paul Hall, and Perry Divirgilio; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. All immediate services are private. Please visit our tribute wall at www.nyefuneralhome.com to leave a condolence or share a memory of Rebecca.
