Ralph Camino Obituary

Ralph J. Camino, 72, died peacefully in his sleep on Friday, July 2, 2021, with his daughter Tina by his side.  He was born January 25, 1949, in Brownsville, a son of the late Albert and Edith Camino.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Camino, and his sisters Judy Abadiniand Donna Abbey.

He is survived by his three loving children, Tracey Bergman and her fiancé Kevin Schreiber of Greensburg, Tina Camino and Denny Camino, both of Cape Cod, MA; grandson, Drake Bergman and his partner Tonya Lingenfelter and grandson Dillan Bergman, all from Greensburg; a brother Chuck Camino of Augusta, GA; several nieces; and many lifelong friends.

Ralph was a Navy veteran, who after service to his country, worked at the Clairton Steel Mill until his retirement in 2011.

In addition to being an avid reader, some of Ralph's favorite hobbies included bicycling on the Allegheny passage, gardening, canning, and an extensive love of cooking.  Ralph was known for his banana nut bread, one of his favorite foods to make.

Ralph was an ardent golfer - both on the course and in later years on his PlayStation, where he would keep score to be accountable even to a video game.  He was also an exceptional pool player; some would say a "pool shark" who competed in several pool leagues in his youth.

Ralph's family and friends were all aware of his witty personality and sense of humor.  He had the ability to make anyone laugh and was always the life of the party.

Throughout his life Ralph was a member of several social clubs where he developed lifelong friendships.

A celebration of Ralph's life will be held in the near future.
