Patricia Merle (Zacharias) Tesone

Patricia M. Zacharias-Tesone, 80 of Greensburg, PA, passed away peacefully in her home on August 7, 2025. Born on April 14, 1945, in Ford City, PA to Richard Dane Zacharias and Lillian Isabelle Boren. Pat was a 1963 graduate of Ford City High School and obtained her nursing license from South Side Hospital School of Nursing in 1966. She then enlisted in the United States Air Force as a Second Lieutenant in 1967. She served her country during the Vietnam War, having been stationed at Clark Air Force base in the Philippines during most of her time as a military nurse. She was honorably discharged from active duty as a Captain in December 1971. She was a career nurse, holding several positions throughout her life with the Visiting Nurses Association of Western PA and at Citizens General Hospital in New Kensington, PA. She also worked as an addiction’s counsellor through Behavioral Health in Greensburg, prior to her retirement in 2010. Pat will be remembered for her kind and loving nature and was a cherished member of the Methodist Christian faith. Pat is survived by ex-husband Clifford (Bonnie) Tesone and children Scott Tesone (Vandergrift, PA) and Melinda (Raymond) Rietzel of Pittsburgh, PA. Grandchildren Julia and Bethany Tesone of Houston Texas; and predeceased by her parents, Richard and Lillian Zacharias of Ford City, PA, and her son, Jeffrey Tesone of Houston, TX. There will be no visitation, but friends and family are invited to a memorial service on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 10:30AM at Trinity Community Methodist Church, 210 W. 4th Street, Greensburg, PA 15601.
