Patricia Ann (O’Toole) Montgomery, 71, loving sister, aunt, and friend died peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Monday April 25, 2022 at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital after a hard fought battle with cancer. She was born on December 12, 1950 in Mt. Pleasant to the late Thomas and Edith (Wern) O’Toole and was a resident of Alverton. Pat was a woman with a tender heart who loved to have a good time. She attended Southmoreland High School and continued her education at California University of Pennsylvania earning a teaching degree. She taught elementary education in West Virginia and retired from Charles County schools in Maryland in 2008. After retiring, you could find her cooking, casting her reel fishing, and spending time with her family. She loved trips to the ocean and camping. Pat will be forever loved, and deeply missed by her surviving brother William (Susan) O’Toole of Allison Park; her sister Nora (O’Toole) Cook of Gibsonia; and a host of nieces & nephews, and great-nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Robert Montgomery who passed in 2006, her sister Rebecca (O'Toole) Moore, and her brother-in-law Bruce Cook. Pat will be eternally remembered for her kindness and warm spirit. As per her request, all services are private and arrangements entrusted to ASHLEY D. X. NYE CREMATION CARE & FUNERAL HOME INC., 408 Depot Street Youngwood. A Celebration of Life will be held and announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Pat’s name to The American Cancer Society in areas of Research for lung, ovarian, and breast cancer; causes that were of great importance to Pat.
