Myra Louise Hinson

Myra (Tenley) Hinson, just 57 years old passed away unexpectedly on November 5th, 2021 from a heart condition.  Her family and friends are deeply saddened by her sudden death.  She was born on December 8th, 1963 and attended Bedford High School.  She lived in Pennsylvania for all of her life.  Most recently, she was living in Youngwood, PA with her companion Gregory Gaskell.

Over the years, Myra worked in the food industry and most recently was employed through Sheetz.  She also attended classes at Westmoreland County Community College.  She loved spending time with friends and family, enjoyed animals, and relished her time spent outdoors working in her garden.  Anyone who knew Myra was touched by her kindness and mild temperament.  She was truly a generous person who was always willing to help others.

She is survived by her long-term companion Greg Gaskell with his daughter Ciarra Gaskell, her two sons, Joseph & Kendra Hinson of Walkersville, MD, Joshua & Melissa Hinson of Johnstown, PA, and former husband Rick Hinson of Johnstown, PA.  Myra adored her four grandchildren, as well as her three brothers, two sisters, her extended family and an abundance of friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents Sylvia and James Tenley and Uncle Warren (Bob) Tenley.  We will all miss her more than words can express.  

 There will be a Celebration of Life held in her honor at Pleasant Hill Bible Church located in Bedford on Saturday November 20th at 1:00 PM.   Visitation will be held on Saturday November 27 from Noon to 4 p.m. with Memorial Service at 2:30 p.m. with Reverend Dean Ward presiding at ASHLEY D. X. NYE CREMATION CARE & FUNERAL HOME INC. 408 Depot St. Youngwood, PA 15697.
