Michael Thomas Krozel

Michael Thomas Krozel, of Greensburg, died Thursday June 3, 2021 at the age of 49.  A dedicated father, grandfather, and husband, Michael built and led his family on a strong foundation of love. Michael was a dedicated lead-carpenter for Beam Construction.  The son of the late Carl and Sandra Springer Krozel, he was raised in Kecksburg, and was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant Senior High School.  His passion for the outdoors began at a young age growing up on the family farm. He enjoyed hunting and fishing; he was a loyal Steelers fan and enjoyed UFC Fighting. He participated in every area of his children’s lives from football and wrestling matches, to cheerleading and softball games. He also helped to shape the lives of many young girls by serving as an assistant  girl’s softball coach.

Michael will be deeply missed by his best friend and wife of 25 years Tara Richey Krozel, his sons Dr. Richard (Cassie) Garris, Ryan (Laura) Garris, and Nicholas Krozel; his daughter Michaela (Keenan) Krozel; three grandchildren Aneira, Jax, and Loki; a brother Steven Krozel; a sister Christine Krozel; his step-mother Carol Krozel (John Owens); his loyal red heeler Skip and cat Destiny. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister Joanne Krozel and his beloved Beagle Bo.  Please join us to celebrate Michael’s life on Thursday June 10, 2021 from 1-3 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. with a White Dove Release at 3 p.m. and Memorial Service at 8 p.m.with Pastor Albert Thomas presiding at ASHLEY D.
