Melissa Lynne Reamer

Melissa L. Reamer, 59 of Youngwood passed away unexpectedly on November 7, 2025.  She was born in Pittsburgh to the late Barclay H. Reamer and Mildred K. Matthews, was raised in Arona, a member of The Arona United Methodist Church, and was a graduate of Greensburg Salem High School. Melissa was a woman of deep spirituality and a selfless caregiver.  She was dedicated to her family and friends as the most tenacious advocate for those in need of care fighting for dignity, respect, and resources they deserved even if it meant at times sacrificing herself.   As humble, patient and kind hearted that she was; Melissa was just as witty, sharp and funny.  She never missed a chance to go see a live band, loved polkas, and was typically the winner of “The Smartest Person in The Family” trivia game each Christmas.  She was an avid reader, and loved to bird watch. Gone too soon, our beloved Mom, Gigi, Aunt, Niece, Sister, and incredible friend will leave a legacy of a woman whose dedication to those she cared for went beyond ordinary care.  She was a fierce champion for them ensuring their voices and needs were never overlooked, her strength was a pillar and will forever be the cornerstone of her surviving family, her cherished children Joshua Bierer, Mandy Bompiani (Bill), Dimitri Smith, and Zayn Abidi; granddaughter Juliet who Melissa affectionately called “Angel Face”; brother B. Lamont Reamer; sister Jessie Riggleman (Kenny); niece Morgan Riggleman; nephew Aaron Riggleman (fiancé Grace Baase); and many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and countless friends. Please join us to celebrate and honor Melissa with A Celebration of Life Thursday November 13, 2025 at 11 am with White Dove Release at 12:30 pm at The Trendy Bunny Event Café 600 Blank School Rd.
