Matthew Eli Schrock

Matthew Eli Schrock, 35 of Johnstown passed away peacefully July 18, 2025.  He was born in Johnstown on February 26, 1990 and he grew up in Cresson and Nanty Glo areas. Matthew was a graduate of Penn Cambria High School.  He was born with a chromosomal disorder, which never ever shadowed his personality and interests.  Matthew loved to go fishing, play video games, and listen to music especially country music which was his passion.  He was a big foodie and loved to go to Ryan’s Restaurant, and never missed a chance to have Fox’s pizza and wings his very favorite.  Matthew had a pure heart of gold, and would do anything for anyone that he could.  If you were good to Matthew, you had a friend for life who loved you unconditionally.  His gentle soul and positive approach to everything especially when life wasn’t always perfect will always be recalled fondly as he touched the hearts of everyone he met.  Matthew is survived by his brother Theo Schrock and his wife Marie and their daughter, Matthew’s beloved niece Shomaya of Texas; as well as his caregivers who he loved as family Nicolette and Hope.
