Margaret Elaine (Mayer) Gabauer

Margaret “Peggy” E. (Mayer) Gabauer, 85,  formerly of New Sewickley Township passed away October 16 2024, in Greensburg, PA. She was born on March 29, 1939. She grew up in Ingram, PA,  the daughter of the late Charles and Doris (Melville) Mayer. She was married to the late Alfred Gabauer for 65 years. She is survived by three daughters and their spouses; Sharon (Tom) Theis of New Stanton PA, Jenny (David) Kusnerik of Mechanicsville VA and Kathy (Jim) Kusnerik of Centerville OH; six grandchildren: Shanna (Larry) Kley, Jessie (Don) Haney, Kristopher Kusnerik, Julie (Tia) Kusnerik, Jacob Kusnerik, and Sarah Kusnerik; three great-grandchildren: Melody, Kaleb and Brenna; two great-great-grandchildren: Bellamy and Atticus. She is also survived by two sisters and one brother: Lois (Gary) Kijowski of Aliquippa, Linda Leihgeber of Aliquippa and Richard Mayer of Robinson Township. She was a member of Saint Cecilia Roman Catholic Parish in Rochester. She was a member of the Christian Mothers. She was a registered nurse at Passavant Retirement Community -Zelienople. She also worked for the Beaver County Red Cross, and Beaver County Head Start. There will be a private ceremony at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, you can make a donation to Saint Judes Children's Research Hospital.
