Lisa Murphy, 81, resident of Easy Living Country Estates, went to sleep in the arms of the Lord as she was peacefully called home the early morning of June 29, 2025. Lisa was born April 23, 1944 in Tutzing, Germany to the late Johanna Gude. She was a gifted artist holding a degree in Graphic Art, which she practiced through the 70’s and 80’s, but her favorite medium was working with oil paints. She bravely immigrated to the U.S. to raise her family after meeting her husband Patrick F. Murphy, a U.S. soldier who was stationed in Nuremberg, Bavaria Germany. Together with her two children and his six children, whom she instantly embraced became one large beautiful family, that Lisa adored caring for. Lisa and Pat welcomed a ninth child together to add to the family. She was not only creative but an incredible cook and caretaker of her home. Creating magical holidays filled with delicious food from her German heritage and lots of chatter and laughter will always be a fond memory of the deep love she showered upon her family. Lisa was resilient, strong willed, generous and did things her own way. Her spirited personality, and warmth she exuded will forever be missed. She wrote a cook book of recipes derived from her German heritage that will be published this year as a final tribute to her and appropriately named “Lost Heritage”. Her legacy and devotion of steadfast hard work, deep care and loyalty poured into her family will always remain in the hearts of her surviving family; her beloved children James Murphy (Sandie), Linda McCorkle, Janice Nichols (Stan), Patrick Murphy (Tracie), Harry Murphy (Tamara), Tammy Patterson, Alice Light (David), and Michael Murphy; 22 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Lisa was reunited in heaven with her beloved husband of 40 years Patrick F. Murphy and daughter Delores Lofton. All immediate services private, and internment will be in Arizona. Arrangements entrusted to ASHLEY D. X. NYE CREMATION CARE & FUNERAL HOME INC. 408 Depot St. Youngwood, PA 15697.
