Laverne Ruth Shaffer

Laverne Ruth Shaffer, 86 of Acme went peacefully into the arms of The Lord on the night of January 5, 2026 at her home with family.  She was born February 20, 1939 in Somerset.  Laverne was a loving mother to her six surviving children; Pam Shaffer, Ron Shaffer (Barb), Dave Shaffer (Cindy), Brian Shaffer (Lisa), Rhonda Vasos, and Melissa Ream (Danny).  She will be deeply missed and always loved by her children, many grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren; and Laverne cherished each one of them.  She was preceded in death by her father Sherman Drake and mother Frances (Weyand) Drake along with many loving family members. Per Laverne’s wishes all services will be private and entrusted to ASHLEY D. X.
