Kelly Kay Cochran

Kelly Kay Cochran, 65, of LaVale, died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2023. Born June 15, 1957, in Bozeman, Mont., she was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Iva, and a brother, Kurt. 
She is survived by a sister, Sandy Murphy and husband, Larry; a brother, Mitchell and wife, Tonya; and several nieces and nephews. Kelly graduated from Fort Hill High School in 1975. 
She had several jobs during her lifetime — her favorite being the owner of Highway Pizza in Frostburg. She employed numerous Frostburg State students, many who became lifelong friends. 
As a believer of giving back to her community, she was an active member of Toys for Happiness and the Frostburg Business Association, holding offices in both. She is also survived by very special friends, Vicki Skidmore, Dennis Bernard, Chris Terry, and Lynn Guerra. Kelly was an animal lover. Her friends imagine her in heaven surrounded by all her pets. Per her request, she was cremated. 
Kelly lived an amazing life in spite of her numerous health issues. Raise a glass to all the fun memories. Memorial contributions may be made to the Allegany County Animal Shelter or Safe Shelter in Flintstone.
