Kathryn Denise Hauger

Kathryn Denise (Bova) Hauger, 69, of Greensburg, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, June 7th, 2026. She was born Sept. 12, 1956, in Washington, to the late Sally (Reese) Keefer. 

Kathy was a joy to all who knew her. She spent her life devoted to helping others, which inspired her nursing career of more than 20 years before retiring from RNC in Greensburg. When she wasn’t working, she spent her free time traveling to the beach, shopping, and spending time with her friends and family. Kathy also had a love for animals, with  Cooper and Callie being her latest pets. 

Along with this, she enjoyed spending time at home and at the pool with her friends Alanna Kubenic and Mandy Carlucci. Most recently, Mandy dedicated her time to serving as Kathy’s at-home nurse. 

She is survived by her beloved daughters, Jennifer Bova and Rachel (Jaison Gall) Coletta; loving granddaughters Emma (Matthew) Shrum, Carly Coletta, and Maddelyn Bova; sister Jacqueline (Ronald Marty) Hunter; brother Brett (Cindy) Keefer; niece and nephew, Tiffany (Kristin) Newton and Brett Keefer; sister-and-brothers-in-law, Dan, Rose, and Jesse (Tracy) Bova; as well as extended family and friends.

Besides her mother, she is preceded in death by her ex-husband and friend, Thomas A. Bova III; her son-in-law, Edward A. Coletta III; her best friend, Cindy Kramer; and her mother-in-law, Jean Bova.

As per Kathy’s request, there will be no viewing or funeral service. Instead, a memorial celebration of her life will be held at a later date for close friends and family.
