Janet Mae Rainey

Janet Mae Rainey, 67, of Vandergrift went to Heaven on Monday September 11, 2023.  She was born in Columbus, Ohio on March 31, 1956 to the late Claude and Juneita Mae (Wears) Selbert. . After graduating highschool, Janet began to spread her wings attending beauty school in Gardena, California where she was unapologetically herself, a true rebel and the first woman to ride her motorcycle to class.  She spent her early adulthood working as a hairstylist in California before coming to the Vandergrift area, where she built her family. Janet was a straight shooter; she loved a good trip to taco bell, and watching old school game shows and crime shows. Her family was her life, she was loyal and loved hard, even when life wasn’t always perfect. Janet’s spirited personality will forever be a reminder to live each day in the moment and lead always with your heart. Her daily presence will be missed deeply by her granddaughters; Nevaeh Bernat, Mykel Bernat, and Milynn Miller who was her best friend and cared for Janet; daughter Bobbie Bernat; her former husband and father of her daughter Robert Mann; sister Jody Harris; and her beloved kitty cat Milo & all her friends who were a very important part of Janet’s life.  In addition to her parents, Janet was predeceased by her brother, Jon Selbert who met her in Heaven. All services private and care entrusted to ASHLEY D.
