James Theodore Monahan, 68 of Greensburg died peacefully at home on March 26, 2025. He was born in Uniontown on April 8, 1956, one of four sons to the late Patrick J. and Margaret (Sullivan) Monahan Sr. James attended Greensburg Salem High School and worked in various roles as a laborer and painter and worked for Helms Trucking Co. A hard-working and kind man, James was very funny and loved to crack jokes. He was a die- hard Steeler fan and loved music; especially classic hits, and was huge fan of The Doors and will always be fondly remembered for saying “I am The Lizard King.” James was an animal lover and often cared for his daughter’s two huskies Luna and Forest, his best friends he would say, taking and affection to them many times more than people. A private but gentle human, James will be deeply missed for his big heart and loyalty he gave to his family and friends. He is survived by his children; Tricia Monahan of Youngwood, and son Joey Bair of Maryland; beloved grandchildren Jaden Robinson and Devan Bodonaro; brother Daniel Monahan (Wendy); sister-in-law Barbara Monahan; niece Lisa Monahan; and nephew David Monahan. In addition to his parents, James was met in heaven by brothers Jerry and Patrick M. Monahan Jr. All services private and entrusted to ASHLEY D. X.
