James Dennis McPeak, 67 of Wendel, died peacefully on December 5, 2023 with his daughters by his side. He was born in Greensburg on May 21, 1956 and was one of 15 children to the late Paul and Evelyn (Lightfoot) McPeak. James known by many as “Slim” was a graduate of Jeannette High School. He was a very laid back man who enjoyed on taking drives on back roads, often going to Linn Run. Slim was a sports fan and bled black and gold for all Pittsburgh sports teams. He was also a very proud Pap who attended all his grandchildren’s sports and activities. He will be greatly missed by his wife Cherie (Celio) McPeak; daughters Erika McPeak and Heather McPeak; his cherished grandchildren Colin, Nathan, Izabella, Skylar, Niko, Kinxton, Cali, and Rocco; siblings Norman McPeak, Bill McPeak, Darlene Frederico, Sandy Peter (Bob), Bob McPeak, Cindy Humberger, Marge Ousley (Wendell), and John McPeak (Geniece); sister-in-laws Karen McPeak and Ruth McPeak; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by and infant son Joshua McPeak; five brothers and one sister.
