Georgette O'Connell

Georgette O’Connell, 79, of Greensburg, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday February 7, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on September 10, 1945, in the historic city of Homs, Syria, Georgette embarked on a remarkable journey that would lead her to the United States in the early 1970s. She found her home in Mt. Pleasant, PA, where she would reside until 2001, when she moved to Greensburg, PA. Georgette was a devoted mother and grandmother, cherishing every moment spent with her family. She is survived by her loving partner, Dave, her children, Kevin Maas (Stacy), Lisa Maas Miller (Justin), and Steve Agha (Nora), her grandchildren, Damon Maas, Mikayla Miller, Abigail Smith, Emily Dew (Jason), Zane Agha, and Nor Agha, and her great-grandchildren, Boston, Braylan, Victoria, and Gabriel. Beyond her immediate family, Georgette leaves behind a wide circle of loved ones whose lives she touched with her warmth and generosity. For over 25 years, Georgette successfully owned and operated her own cleaning business, a testament to her strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit. A woman of strong faith, Georgette found joy in simple pleasures. She cherished her time in her garden, growing fresh produce for her family. As a talented baker, Georgette believed in the power of homemade food to bring people together. She generously shared her culinary creations with everyone she knew, spreading joy and warmth through her delicious treats. Georgette was known for her kind and generous spirit. Her home was always open to friends and neighbors, and her love language was undoubtedly the sharing of a meal. She tried to make everyone feel welcome and loved, and her unwavering support and encouragement were a source of strength for many. Her generosity, warmth, and compassion will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
