Gene C. Bellman Jr. “Tink”, 69 of Derry, passed January 14, 2026 at home surrounded by his family. Gene was born December 21, 1956 in Indiana, PA to the late Gene C. Bellman Sr. and Susan V. (James) Bellman. Tink made a career of being the beloved “Ice Cream Man”. He would venture county to county in his ice cream truck delivering treats to children and adults, always bringing many smiles and deep engrained sweet summer memories. He was an avid hunter and fisherman prior to his health declining, and also was a loyal fan the Homer Center Wildcats. If it was up to Gene, he would never miss a football, basketball, or baseball game, attending as many as he could. He was a member along with his wife of Miracle Church, and loved his Pastor Chad. Gene was a veteran serving in the U. S. Army for Infantry. He loved his country, was fiercely loyal to his family, and leaves a legacy of total faith in God to his surviving wife Debra (Jones) Bellman, whom he married on December 31, 2001; his children Candi Reinhart (Shawn), Jason Bellman, Aaron Bellman, and step-son Robert “Bob” Redden; brother Joseph Bellman; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins that will miss him deeply, especially nephew Logan Bellman who Tink raised after his sister passed; and great-nephew Owen Bellman who he adored. In addition to his parents Gene and Susan V. Bellman Sr., Gene was preceded in death by brother Ronald W. Bellman (Tallman); and sister Sharon L. Bellman. Per Gene’s wishes there will be no viewing, a celebration of life and memorial will be held in June, and interment with his parents, brother, and sister will be private.
