Florence M. (Pedicone) Gray, 90, long time resident of Ruffsdale, went to sleep in the arms of the Lord as she was peacefully called home on March 25, 2025. Florence was the last surviving of thirteen children born at home to the late August and Patricia “Bessie” (Zello) Pedicone on St. Clair Hill in Greensburg. She was a graduate of Youngwood Senior High School class of 1951. Flo worked at Hillview Lanes Bowling Alley for 28 years, a job she loved. She attended many Turkeytown Bingo events, went to The Meadows Casino to watch the horse races, conducted family card nights, and always warmly welcomed and offered coffee for anyone who came into her home. Florence held a fierce faith in God her entire life and was a member of New Beginnings Evangelical Church in Youngwood, where she was active in the Lady’s Light Group supporting church events, activities, and fundraisers. She was a member of the Yukon Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary for 23 years where she held the office of Treasurer andparticipated annually in the Children’s Christmas Party, and cooked for fundraisers and carnivals. Florence was involved, present, kind, and fun. Her spirited personality will be fondly recalled often, as her presence will be deeply missed. In addition to her parents and siblings, Florence was reunited in heaven with her beloved husband of 54 years Walter G. Gray. She is survived by her daughter;Susan L. Gray of Ruffsdale; and her son Bob Gray (Jim Walsh) of Pittsburgh. Please join us to celebrate and honor Florence’s life with a Memorial Service on Sunday April 6, 2025 at noon at New Beginnings Evangelical Church 1 South 6th St. Youngwood with Reverend Robert Rosenbaum presiding.
