Elizabeth (Betty) M. Heltebran, 96, of Greensburg, PA, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at St. Anne Home, Greensburg, PA.
As a young woman, Betty worked in the Jeannette Glass Factory and was an Elevator Operator Troutman’s Department store in downtown Greensburg. The majority of her years, Betty was a dedicated stay-at-home mom to her children and grandchildren. She loved collecting salt and pepper shakers and had collected around 1000 sets. Betty was a gentle, loving woman and is now with her Savior Jesus Christ and loved ones in Heaven.
She was the daughter of Leroy Guffey and Mae Pearl (Highberger) Heltebran, born September 25, 1927, in Hermine, PA.
Betty is survived by her son, Charles Fredrick Exton, Jr. of Tennessee, two brothers and three sisters: Donald L. Heltebran of Weirton, West Virginia, Bert L. Heltebran of Glen Campbell, Pennsylvania, Carol F. Silsley of Bridgeville Pennsylvania, Louella P. Snyder of Altoona, Pennsylvania and Esther L. Blouch of New Hampshire; 12 Grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
She was predeceased by her parents, Leroy and Mae Heltebran; husbands, Charles F. Exton, Sr. and Dennis J. Gunther; her son, Lester Eugene Exton; daughter, Sandra Lee Miller; brothers Darrell W. Heltebran and Charles S. Heltebran.
A Memorial Service will be held, April 6, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Hilltop United Methodist Church, 222 Church Lane Madison, PA 15663
