Eleanor Mildred Holt, 94 of Greensburg, died on the evening of Sunday January 28, 2024 at the Westmoreland Manor. She was born on August 12,1929 in Mt. Pleasant to the late Miles and Edith (Hoak) Trout. Eleanor was an incredible mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was spunky and vibrant, grew up in “Trouttown” close to Armbrust and was the last survivor of her eight siblings. She loved to have a lot of fun and enjoyed going to the casino and playing slot machines. She worked as a seamstress for many years until the plants closed and then worked and retired from Westmoreland Manor. She was a woman with a strong faith in God and was a member of Armbrust Wesleyan Church.
Eleanor passes along a legacy of deep love and kindness to her family and will forever be remembered for her spirited personality and tender heart. She is survived by her son Charles C. Holt III and wife Mandy; grandchildren Emma Facchine (Dolan), Eli Holt (Mara), and Zachary Holt; great-grandchildren Parker Holt, Finn Facchine and Mason Rinaldi and numerous nieces and nephews. Eleanor was met in heaven by her husband Charles Holt Jr., granddaughter Inger Holt Bauer; and siblings Ed, Don, Sam, Dave, Melvin, Annabelle, Alverta, and Carl who passed as an infant, who predeceased her. Her immediate family will hold a private remembrance honoring her 94 years. All immediate services private and arrangements entrusted to ASHLEY D. X.
