Edward Leonard Vrable Sr., 86, of Unity Township died Saturday, December 10, 2022. He was born in South Greensburg on December 5, 1936 to the late Peter and Mary (Arendas) Vrable.
Edward loved his country, enlisting in the United States Army for six months prior to becoming a proud reservist. He held a talent within his hands, working as a carpenter for 30 years. He built two houses that he and his love, Nancy, turned into their homes where they raised their two children. Edward had a profound love and interest in antique cars, owning 3 MGs, Thunderbird, Delorean, Reatta and a Chevy Convertible. He was a member of the Western Pennsylvania Antique Car Club and the Laurel Highlands Antique Car Club.
His deep devotion and unfaltering commitment to his family and presence will be missed daily by his beloved wife of 58 years, Nancy (Millward) Vrable; son, Edward (Leigh) Vrable Jr., Brenda Sue (Dave Michener) Vrable; grandchildren, Brenton (Sarah), Jacob, Blake and Naylee; great grandchildren, Abbi, Aiden and Ethan; brothers, Joe and Peter (Bernice) Vrable; and sisters, Marie Schietroma and Louise Vrable; and sister-on-laws Mary Jo and Eleanor Vrable.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Robert Vrable.
