Edward “Eddie” Eismont, 73 of Hunker died Wednesday April 30, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 16, 1950, in Pittsburgh. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda (Baccile) Eismont, two sons Chad (Jamie) and Joe (Amy) both of Hunker, granddaughter Casey Dupilka (Ryan), grandson Ethan, granddaughter Eva and great grandson Waylon. He is also survived by brothers Michael Eismont (Krissy) of Pleasant Hills, Davey Eismont of Clairton, and sister Theresa Paulo (Joe) of Pleasant Hills and numerous nieces and nephews, including relatives in Canada. He was preceded in death by his father Edward Joseph Eismont and his mother Hilda Hood of Vancouver Canada, stepmother Ann (Stemberger) Eismont, and sister-in-law Debbie ( Davey) Lattanzi Eismont. He retired from Irvin Works USS in 2015 as a millwright and his skills were utilized previously at Elliot Company, LTV Steel, Bucyrus-Erie, Volkswagen, and CE Glass. Eddie will be missed in many ways by his family and friends, but especially because he was the go-to man on fixing any problem in the house or car. He knew how to fix anything and passed this knowledge on to his sons and nephews. He served in the Navy from 1968-1971 on the USS Skylark, a submarine rescue vessel and also spent time on a submarine out of New London Connecticut. Friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 Friday May 3, 2024 at ASHLEY D. X. NYE CREMATION CARE & FUNERAL HOME INC. 408 Depot Street Youngwood, PA . Mass will be celebrated 1:00 p.m. Saturday May 4, 2024 at Holy Cross Church 711 Depot Street, Youngwood. Interment will be private following cremation.
