Dorothy E. (Shaw) Couts

Dorothy E. Couts (Shaw) passed away after a short illness on June 12, 2025. Dorothy was born on July 16, 1926 in Pittsburgh to Joseph and Helen (Cook) Shaw. She married John T. Couts in Pittsburgh in 1945 and they lived in Pittsburgh and Swissvale while raising their sons. She retired from working at A & P, and then did private childcare for a family for many years. She enjoyed thrifting, travel, cats, gardening, and tulips were her favorite flower. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband John, and three sons John (Jack), David (Dave), and Roy.
