Debra Marie (Rice) Bickel 59, resident of The Villages of Hilltop Heights went to sleep in the arms of the Lord as she was peacefully called home on September 2, 2025 at Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Debra was born November 15, 1965 in Johnstown to the late Ralph and Margaret (Griffith) Rice. She was a graduate of Johnstown High School and went on to marry Gene Bickel her lifelong companion and best friend, and together they built their family on a foundation of love. Debra embraced and loved being a mother, caring for her family and home. Fond memories of her creating beautiful holidays especially at Christmas time and birthdays that were always filled with warmth, chatter, laughter and lots of love will always be recalled. She loved to have fun, enjoyed joking around, and enjoyed doing word searches as well as coloring. She will forever be missed at family gatherings as well as her daily presence and tender heart she so easily gave to everyone. Debra is survived by her husband Gene Bickel of Windber; cherished daughters Lexie Kovach (Richard), and Eryka Bickel (Mike Lisbon); beloved grandchildren Grant and Kinsley Kovach; brothers Bob and Ronnie Rice; sister Donna Lewis (John); and many nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she loved so deeply. Debra was reunited in heaven by her baby boys Gene Jr. that passed at birth, as well as an infant son. All immediate services private, and arrangements entrusted to ASHLEY D. X.
