David Sittman Wilson

David Sittman Wilson, 78, of Hunker died Thursday,January 27, 2022 in UPMC Mercy with his devoted family right at his side after complications from a stroke.  He was born in Greensburg April 14, 1943, one of three sons of the late Thomas and June Sittman Wilson. 

David a steadfast hard worker throughout his entire life, retired from DME Youngwood.  He met his best friend and wife, Susan Fishell when he was 10 years old, who he was married to for the last 58 years, and together they built their family on a foundation of love.  David was a great woodsman, an avid hunter, skilled trapper, and experienced fisherman; a knack he shared with his son and grandchildren creating lifelong memories. A true lover of nature, he was active as a member of Youngwood Sportsman and Pennsylvania Trappers Association. 

David will be remembered for his strength, unwavering loyalty, and deep love for his family, and will remain a guiding light to his surviving wife Susan K. Fishell Wilson; his son Matthew (Tamela) Wilson of New Stanton; his beloved grandchildren Joshua (Rene) & Dayna Wilson; a brother Michael Wilson of Delmont; and canine companion, his cherished Jack Russell Rosie.  In addition to his parents he will be welcomed into his next phase by his brothers Thomas and Peter William Wilson. Please join us to honor and celebrate his life on Sunday January 30, 2022 with a viewing from 3-7 p.m. with funeral service on Monday January 31, 2022 at noon at ASHLEY D. X. NYE CREMATION CARE & FUNERAL HOME INC. 408 DEPOT ST. YOUNGWOOD 15697. Burial to directly follow services on Monday at Westmoreland Memorial Park Greensburg, PA.
