David Frank Springer

David Frank Springer, 62 of Jeannette passed peacefully the afternoon of May 5, 2026 surrounded by his family at Independence Health Westmoreland Hospital.  David was born February 8, 1964 in Latrobe to the late Norman F. and Ida Mae (Ament) Springer. He was a graduate of Derry High School Class of 1983 where he fell in love with wood-working and went on to be a craftsman and carpenter.  He had a passion for history and enjoyed researching his family ancestry and was always a loyal brother, uncle and friend. Losing his father when he was a young child, allowed David to treasure his family, and he forever cherished reconnecting with his father’s extended family later in his life.  He held an extensive collection of DVD’s from westerns to cartoons, loved to go fishing, and found solace in folk and gospel music and his two cats Laverne and Shirley.  David was a member of First Church of God in Latrobe, and will always be remembered for his kind soul.  He is survived by his brother Dennis Springer of Jeannette; sister Bonnie Gregg (Xan) of North Carolina; nephew Derek Springer (Ashley); great-niece Hadley; Aunt Betty Byers; and many cousins. David was preceded in death by his parents Norman and Ida Mae, who he will be laid to rest next to at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, and many Aunts and Uncles. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Senior Life staff and their nurses for their gentle support and comfort they provided to David and his family during this delicate time.    Please join us with a Visitation Saturday May 30, 2026 from 2 p.m. until time of Funeral Service at 4 p.m. at ASHLEY D.
