David Allan Spears, 76 of Youngwood passed peacefully on December 17, 2025 at St. Anne Home with his devoted wife Karen at his side. He was born in Greensburg on June 5, 1949 to the late William and Dorris Jean (Allan) Spears. David was a graduate of Hempfield High School and spent the majority of his adult life as long time resident of Jacksonville, Florida for the past 40 years; and returned to western PA last year. He attended college earning a degree in computer electronics and was a skilled welder. After retirement David worked at a bakery and not only repaired the bakery belts but also worked on their computers. He was a ”jokester” and carried a light -hearted attitude throughout his life throughout his life and will be deeply missed by his surviving family; his beloved wife of 39 years Karen Lee (Kuhns) Spears; cherished children Janine Pagano (Nick), Jennifer Guncheon (Matthew); treasured grandson Jonas Pagano; sister Heather Whipkey (Mark), brother James Spears (Ella); sister-in-law Kathy Baird, and brother-in-law Edward Kuhns (Chris). David reunited with his father William and mother Dorris in heaven, as well as his brothers, William Richard “ Ricky” , and Terry Spears, and brother-in-law Mark Kuhns. A memorial will be held at a future date to be announced. In Lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to St. Jude on David’s behalf.
