Craig Harne Obituary

Craig Harne, age 56, fondly known as “Possum”, passed away unexpectedly in his home in Ligonier, PA on Sunday, April 16th. Craig was born on May 14, 1966 in Hagerstown, MD and was raised in Waynesboro, PA by his parents Terrance and Diane (Miller) Harne. He graduated from Waynesboro Area Senior High School with the Class of 1984. Craig was a talented, highly skilled carpenter and held several jobs throughout his life in the construction business.

Craig was an avid hunter and fisherman, loved the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins, and enjoyed playing pool and working on the many trucks he owned over the years. Craig also loved animals and had many “unique” pets in his lifetime!

Craig was proceeded in death by his parents, his paternal grandparents, Marvel and Helen Harne, and his maternal grandparents, Robert and Evelyn Miller. He is survived by his brother, Eric (wife-Donna), his niece, Jenna, all from Waynesboro, as well as two aunts and several cousins.

Craig made friends everywhere he went and was a caring person who would always help anyone in need.  He will be sadly missed by his friends and family, including his beloved dog, Molly.

Services will be private and at the discretion of the family.  They invite those who knew him to please celebrate and honor Craig’s memory in their own ways.
