Colleen Joyce (Keys) Ferrett

Colleen Joyce Ferrett, 71 of Greensburg, Hempfield Township was freed from the struggles of this world and reunited with her loving Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, December 9, 2024. She was born April 19, 1953 in Mt. Pleasant to the late Arthur H. and Geraldine J. (Shawley) Keys. Colleen was a graduate of Hempfield High School and went on to major in Elementary Education at Clarion University. It was here that she gave her life to Jesus and met her devoted husband of 43 years, Paul. Though she loved teaching, being a mother was her hearts' desire. Raising their two girls in love and faith, managing the household, and volunteering over 25 years of her life serving her God and her church family at Word of Life Church was Colleen’s life mission. She was majorly involved with Children's Ministry assisting with Vacation Bible Schools, teaching sunday school, volunteering for special events, leading the puppet ministry, and participating in Fun in the Son outreach. She also served in Women's Ministry, as well as, created numerous bulletin boards for the church that were detailed and meaningful to encourage the children's faith that also impacted many adults. Colleen’s steadfast faith in God, and dedication to her family and community will forever be remembered and missed.  We find comfort in knowing she is fully restored in heaven and reunited with her husband Paul Michael Ferrett who died January 13, 2021.  Colleen is survived by her daughters Kylen and Alycia Ferrett of Greensburg; sisters Sharon McCrandall of Florida, and Diane Denowh of Arizona; and nieces and nephews Rachel, Joshua, Desiree, and Kristin. “But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ” Philippians 3:20.
