Charles Kenneth Sullenberger

Charles Kenneth Sullenberger, 83 of Youngwood died in the early morning of Saturday June 24, 2023 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.  He was born in Youngwood on August 17, 1939 to the late Harry And Cornelia (Glatt) Sullenberger.  Charles never met a person he wouldn’t talk to, and you never forgot him after you met.  He was a hometown guy, who loved his community and family.  He was a long time member of the Youngwood Fire Department, and retired from the Conrail Railroad where he worked for years as a welder.    Charles care for his family will be missed daily most by his children Melissa, Erik, and Nathan; his grandchildren Dakota and Brant; his great-grandchildren Vincent and Evalina; his sisters Irene McCune and Shirley Lane; his brother Robert Sullenberger; his special friend Shirley Laws; and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Charles was reunited in heaven with his wife Susan and son Jason.  Per his wishes all services will be private and entrusted to ASHLEY D.
