Catherine Grace Wile

Catherine Grace Wile “Katie”, 42 of New Stanton died unexpectedly in her home on July 4, 2024. She was born on October 19, 1981 in Greensburg to James W. and the late Carol Grace (Sadler) Wile. Katie was a graduate of Hempfield High School class of 2000 where she was part of their impressive marching band playing the clarinet, and went on as the friendly face for many years at Eat N Park working as a waitress and manager, a job she loved.  She was vibrant and embraced fashion, art especially pottery and painting, and music.  She was a tap dancer as a child and was always animal lover.  Fond memories of her truly thoughtful and caring personality will always be remembered about Katie as the presence she carried.  You always knew when she was in the room with her distinct and free spirited personality.  Katie will be deeply missed daily by her father James W. Wile; brothers Howard “Michael” Wile and Jim Wile; her nieces and nephews Jade, Morgan and J. J. Wile; and her boyfriend of many years Travis Thompson; as well as many cousins aunts and uncles.  Katie was met in heaven by her mother Carol Grace Wile and paternal grandmother Catherine Wile who predeceased her.
