Anna Mae (Decker) Burns, 69 of Greensburg, gently entered into the gates of heaven as she was peacefully called home on May 15, 2025, one day shy of her 70th birthday. She was born May 16, 1955 in Greensburg, one of five children to the late Allen and Catherine (Simpson) Decker. Anna was a supportive mother and faced every obstacle thrown at her with overwhelming courage and strength. She spent her life creating a foundation built on love, hard work, and compassion for her family, which she always put first. She had a very close bond with her children all throughout their lives, especially her two daughters who walked hand in hand with her. She liked to stay home, watching tv and coloring, and looked forward to weekly bingo with her friends. Fond memories of having cookouts in the park, and traveling together will be recalled often and deeply missed. She never missed a chance to have a cup of coffee, and made sure she got one last cup as she embarked on her journey to gain her angel wings and halo. Anna was the friendly face of Denny’s Restaurant where she was a waitress for many years, both in Greensburg and New Port Richey, Florida, where she and her family lived for twenty years. Even after retiring she was always greeted with warm hellos and hugs when she visited, a true testament to her character. She was a member of Cornerstone Ministries, and held her faith close to her heart. Her daily presence will be missed, as she never went a day without talking to “her girls”. She will forever be remembered for her tender heart, tough spirit, and the deep love she showed. Anna is survived by her beloved children Beth Franklin (Curry), Lisa Burns (Justin Francis), and Paul Burns; grandchildren Dante, Damian, and Dominic Burns; siblings Larry Decker (Vicki), Carla Dawn Worley, and Audrey Sutton; and her cherished cat Bea. In addition to her parents, Anna was greeted in heaven by her sister Cerrie Rothwell who passed before her. Per Anna’s wishes all services will be private, and entrusted to ASHLEY D. X. NYE CREMATION CARE & FUNERAL HOME INC. 408 Depot St. Youngwood, PA 15697. Please visit our tribute wall to leave a condolence or share a memory of Anna.
